Ceramics and Minerals Processing Group

The group develops fundamental knowledge in suspension rheology, colloid and surface chemistry in order to improve processing of ceramics and minerals.

Research interests

  • Ceramics processing

Near net shaping via colloidal processing, controlled porous structures, 3D printing and ultra-high temperature ceramics.

  • Minerals processing

New responsive polymer reagents, flocculation, solid-liquid separation, flotation and dry processing.

  • Mechanics modelling

Fracture of wet particulate materials, metal oxide surface chemistry, microstructure-property relationships modelling.
